Form One Admission Process
Government Placement via NEMIS
Lodwar High School participates in the national Form One placement program through the Ministry of Education's NEMIS portal. KCPE candidates are automatically placed into public secondary schools based on their scores and selected preferences (national, extra-county, county, or sub-county).

Students are placed automatically through the Ministry's NEMIS system based on KCPE performance and school preferences

View your placement online via KEMIS portal or SMS service (send index to 22263)
Reporting
Bring required documents to school during the official reporting period
How to Check Placement Online
- Visit education.go.ke or the KEMIS portal
- Select "Form One Selection and Placement"
- Enter your KCPE index number
- Select your county and sub-county
- Submit and download your admission letter
How to Check Placement via SMS
- Open your SMS application
- Create new message to 22263
- Type your KCPE index number
- Send the message (KES 25 charge)
- You'll receive your placement details
Reporting to School
Required Documents
Mandatory Documents
- Original and 2 copies of KCPE results slip
- Original birth certificate and 2 copies
- Stamped admission letter from primary school
- 4 recent passport-size photos
Additional Requirements
- Medical report from recognized hospital
- NHIF card or proof of medical cover
- Transfer letter (for transfer students)
- Boarding requirements (for boarding students)
Important Notes
- • Reporting dates are set by the Ministry - typically early February
- • All documents must be properly certified where required
- • Late reporting may lead to forfeiture of your place

Changing Schools After Placement
Transfer Process
- Visit the Form One Placement Change portal
- Submit your index number and county details
- Download and stamp the transfer request form
- The receiving school processes via NEMIS
- Approval typically within 3 working days
Important Notes
- Transfers only possible after initial placement
- Both schools must approve the transfer
- Mid-year transfers are rarely approved
- Transfers depend on available vacancies
